BASS GUEMBRI TECHNIQUES 31/10/2020
Walid Mahmoud
Gnawa music is an ancestral practice rooted in Africa that has been established in Morocco since the 14th century. A heritage that tries to connect the soul with the beyond. The main instruments are the guembri, a three-stringed bass, drums and brass castanets.
On this opportunity we will explore the rhythms and cyclical melodies that seek to enter the listener in a trance.
This workshop is aimed at all levels of guembri, electric and/or acoustic bass.
The main language of the seminar will be Spanish with an English translator.
