Saina Zamanian
Saina Zamanian (b. 1994, Tehran) is an Iranian tār and setār player. She began studying piano at the age of seven and later trained at the Tehran Music Conservatory. She continued her studies at the University of Art in Tehran, where she was admitted to the master’s program in Iranian music and graduated as a top student.
She has studied with musicians including Hooshang Zarif, Hossein Alizadeh, and Daryush Talai. Her work includes the albums 11 Tasnifs by Ali-Naqi Vaziri, 11 Duets by Ali-Naqi Vaziri, and Rahgoon, as well as performances at international festivals in Uzbekistan (Maqom Festival), Malaysia (Folk Music Festival), and Spain (Jordi Savall Festival).
Zamanian has also taught music theory and Iranian music orchestration at the Tehran Music Conservatory. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Jean Monnet University in France, where she continues her artistic and academic work.
