Veka Aler Anatolian Singing 30/09-03/10/2021

This seminar will cover various musical genres and songs in different languages from different regions of Turkey. Parallel with the study of the repertoire we will also focus on technique, voice production, and ornamentation. Working with elements as the diaphragm, correct breathing mechanism, vocal cords, intra-oral muscles, students will be able to practice and develop strength, rigor, and awareness of their own voice. Learning about the mechanism of sound production in the voice, one can recognize and develop this “instrument” inside his body, thus making it possible to interpret the special intervals and ornaments that make music and songs from Anatolia so special.
